The selection is processed with the help of your surrogacy program coordinator and fertility specialist that is deep into your fertility case. Choosing a surrogate is processed in line with your personal fertility treatment and in correspondence with your egg donor or your specific characteristics. Several candidates are selected by the doctor conforming to the medical state of female reproductive organs. The surrogate match is a serious process, that is why it is better to give some trust to your fertility clinic. Genetic parents can choose a gestational carrier from several profiles that are provided. Future happy parents may meet assigned surrogate mother in person on the 12 weeks of pregnancy.

SURROGATES MEDICAL CHECKUP

Every surrogate mother is already a happy mother of her own child and can be a part of a surrogate motherhood program in Ukraine as stated in the surrogacy law of Ukraine. Her maternal status makes no difference. A woman in Ukraine can take part in a surrogate program as she reaches 18 years. She can reach 40 years, but we take only young women from 18 to 35 years old. That makes pregnancy safe during the 9-month period. All girls for a surrogate undertake a big number of blood tests like ACID, syphilis, hepatitis, bacterial swabs, ultrasound, general examination of a family doctor, and special tests like drug tests, niсonite tests and as a must be - psychological checkup. During gestation, every surrogate has a screening test for down syndrome on week 12 and 16,5. Prena Test is a non-invasive method to check the Down syndrome risks.

Prena Test can help to discover the presence of 21 chromosomal abnormalities at fetus with 95% accuracy on the 12th week of gestation. This examination is not an obligatory one but is highly recommended for women who had high-risk levels on the first and second screening for Down syndrome. Prena Test — is a non-operational method that helps to find an abnormality like trisomy of 21 chromosomes at the fetus. Pregnant woman gives her vein blood for the examination. Vein blood sampling has no risk for the surrogate mother, unlike invasive methods. This test is performed in Germany and is ready in 10 days. Results of this examination come from a specialized laboratory to our mail. This test is not included in the price of the package and can be ordered like an additional examination for a surrogate mother in case it is required.
